In 2015, when our youngest child spread their wings and left the nest, we embraced the winds of change. That pivotal moment led us to Oban, where we took the reins of Fàilte and transformed it into a place we're proud to call our own. Our aim? To provide you with a stay that lingers in your memory.
Meet Thomas, a German native with roots in Namibia. Having studied Hotel Management in South Africa, he garnered experience across Namibia, South Africa, and Germany before making the scenic move to Scotland in 2008.
On the other hand, Isabel from portuguese decent was raised in the vibrant landscapes of South Africa. Her professional journey has been diverse, with a background in Education in Namibia and a stint in Child Care upon settling in Scotland.
Together, we ventured into the hospitality realm by acquiring Fàilte B&B in Oban. Since then, every day has been a rewarding chapter, and we've never looked back.
